Ignazio Gardella

Milan 1905-Oleggio 1999. An architect, engineer and designer. Born into a family of architects, he graduated in Engineering from the Politecnico University of Milan and in architecture from IUAV. Produced a large number of projects and buildings. Prominent among the CIAM and at the first INU congresses. Founded Azucena, the first high-quality Italian design company. Numerous honours received throughout his career, from the Olivetti Award to the Golden Lion.
