Gio (Giovanni) Ponti
Milan 1891-Milan 1979. One of the greatest architects and designers of the twentieth century. A professor (1936-1961) at the Faculty of Architecture, his many works include the Pirelli skyscraper and the Palazzo Eiar (later Rai) in Milan. Founder of Domus magazine. Reformulated the strategy of industrial design from the 1920s and worked with Richard Ginori.
