Gina Lagorio (née Bernocco)
Bra 1922-Milan 2005. A writer, she graduated in English Literature in Turin, married Emilio Lagorio and then, in Milan, the publisher Livio Garzanti. MP with the Independent Left, elected in Milan. Winner of the Premio Campiello (1977) with Wolf Beach, of the Premio Flaiano (1983) with Tell me the One about Flic, and of the Premio Viareggio (1984) with Tosca, the Cat Lady. In her posthumous Càpita, she wrote about her illness. Her non-fiction writings were devoted to 20th-century Ligurian literature, and Camillo Sbarbaro in particular.
