Gian Domenico Pisapia
Caserta 1915-Milan 1995. A graduate in Jurisprudence in 1935 and in Philosophy in 1938, he abandoned his career in Law so as not to swear allegiance to the PNF (National Fascist Party). A criminal lawyer of great renown, he was professor of Criminal Law and Procedure first in Modena and then, from 1961 to 1985, in Milan. Chairman of the ministerial committee that in 1988 drafted the present Penal Code. A lawyer in trials of national importance, he worked with the Ministers of Justice Conso and Vassalli. Many books on legal subjects.
