Made his debut in 1940 as an actor in the Merlini-Cialente company, in 1941 founded the Il palcoscenico group with Paolo Grassi, and in 1946 performed in the Navarrini-Rol company. Played Moscone in Caldéron’s The Mighty Magician, Brighella in Goldoni’s Arlecchino, Servant of Two Masters and Milordino in Pirandello’s The Mountain Giants. Performed in major theatres in the ’50s and ’60s. Returned to the Piccolo in Milan from ’69 to ’71. In 1972 founded the Salone Pier Lombardo (now the Teatro Franco Parenti) with Andrée Ruth Shammah, Testori and Isella, in which he worked on many shows.
