Canzo 1857–Paris 1932. Journalist, politician, leader of Italian Socialism, reformist tendencies. MP from 1896, in exile in Paris from 1926, after a daring escape organised by Oxilia, Olivetti, Parri, Pertini and Rosselli. His body taken to the Monumental Cemetery in Milan in 1948. Author of many political and historical analyses, including a booklet entitled Inno dei lavoratori italiani set to music in 1889.
