Davide Maria (Giuseppe) Turoldo
Coderno (Friuli) 1916–Milan 1992. A man of the Church and a poet, invited to Milan in 1940 by Card. Schuster, a preacher in the Cathedral, graduated in Philosophy from the Cattolica, involved with the Resistance in Milan (clandestine periodical L’Uomo). With Camillo De Piaz – founded the Corsia dei Servi cultural centre, and also supported the Nomadelfia project (Carpi). Left Milan in the ’50s, then returned to Florence and Udine. Author of essays and collections of poems.
