Bianca Maria Visconti Sforza
Settimo Pavese 1425–Melegnano 1468. The daughter of Filippo Maria Visconti, who had no male heirs, wife of Francesco Sforza (head of the dynasty that took over from the Viscontis by popular demand) and mother of Galeazzo Maria Sforza and Ludovico Maria Sforza, called il Moro. Her diplomatic, political and cultural activities were of huge importance at a critical time in the history of Milan.
